Which translation do you read?
Every Bible translation belongs to someone — a publisher who decides who gets to use it, and how. Engraven ships only what it's actually licensed to ship. If the translation you read every day isn't one of those, this page is how you tell the people who could change that.
How it works today
The three we're licensed to ship
These are free for anyone to use and redistribute, which is exactly why they're the ones you'll find in Engraven right now. Anything else requires a signed license from its publisher before a single verse of it can appear in the app.
Berean Standard Bible — public domain (2023), Engraven's default translation.
King James Version — public domain.
World English Bible — public domain, courtesy eBible.org, used with attribution.
The AI never rewrites Scripture. Every verse anywhere in Engraven is looked up from one of these translations by its exact reference — never generated, never paraphrased, never blended with model output.

Tell us which translation, and why
Publishers ask for exactly this kind of evidence before they'll consider a license: real people, asking by name, for a translation they already trust. Fill in as much or as little as you're comfortable with.
Thank you — your voice is on the record.

Questions
A few honest answers
Why doesn't Engraven just add my translation already?
Because we don't own the words. A Bible translation belongs to its publisher, and using one without a signed license would be both a real legal violation and a fast way to get an app pulled from the App Store. Engraven only ever ships a translation it holds an actual, documented right to use — never a name we've merely asked to use.
Does a subscription pay for Scripture?
No — never. It's the same commitment we've put in writing to every publisher we've asked: "Scripture is never the paid feature. Every translation we license is free to every user, in every product, permanently — no paywall, no ad served against it, no gating, no “premium translation” tier. Where our applications charge, they charge for AI coaching, planning, and encouragement features. Never for access to the Word itself." Where Engraven charges, it charges for the coach — never for a verse.
What happens with my email?
It's used for exactly one thing: to reach you if there's real news about a translation you asked for. We never sell it, never rent it, and never use it for anything else — see our
Privacy Policy for the full detail.
When will I hear back?
Only when there's something real to tell you — a signed license, or a clear no from a publisher. We won't send updates just to stay in your inbox. If you'd rather reach us directly, write to
support@engraven.app.
